WHITE STRIPES - My Doorbell | A male vocalist sings this perky pop song. His tempo is medium fast with punchy drumming; animated amplified piano accompaniment, tambourine beats and funky bass lines. The song is simple, peppy, engaging, energetic, story telling, and catchy. This song is Classic Pop/ Soft Rock. | 2013-05-04T13:12:45Z | Jurassic56 | "My Doorbell" by the American alternative rock band The White Stripes is the second single from their album Get Behind Me Satan (2005). The song garnered The White Stripes a 2006 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. The White Stripes were an American rock duo, formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of drummer Meg White (drums and occasional vocals) and songwriter Jack White (vocals, guitar, and keyboards). Meg and Jack White were previously married to each other, but are now divorced. After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene, the White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002, as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful and critically acclaimed albums White Blood Cells and Elephant drew them attention from a large variety of media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom, with the single "Seven Nation Army" and its now-iconic guitar riff becoming a huge hit. The band recorded a further two albums, Get Behind Me Satan in 2005 and Icky Thump in 2007. The group was dissolved in 2011 after a lengthy hiatus from performing and recording. The White Stripes used a low-fidelity approach to writing and recording. Their music featured a melding of garage rock and blues influences and a raw simplicity of composition, arrangement, and performance. The duo was also noted for their fashion and design aesthetic which featured an exclusive use of a simple color scheme of red, white, and black, which was used on every album and single cover the band released- as well as the band's obsession with the number three. The band's discography consists of six studio albums, one live album, two extended plays (EP), one concert film, one tour documentary, twenty-six singles, and fourteen music videos. Their last three albums each won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. Edsels - Rama Lama Ding Dong - Youngstown Ohio Doo Wop Sound | The low quality recording features a rock song that consists of harmonizing background vocals, alongside passionate male vocals, singing over, at least, punchy snare, simple hi hats, smooth bass, thin kick and punchy snare hits. The recording is so noisy that the actual song can barely be heard, but regardless it sounds vintage, energetic and uplifting. | 2010-04-13T01:59:16Z | PJDooWop | This is a true doo wop classic, coming to you from the very rare original "Lama Rama Ding Dong" pressing on Dub records. | ["Swing music", "Music of Africa", "Music", "Ska"] | ["low quality", "noisy", "vintage", "harmonizing background vocals", "passionate male vocal", "punchy snare", "saxophone melody", "rock", "simple hi hats", "thin kick", "smooth bass", "uplifting", "energetic"] | 4 | s6U8DtBK3Us | 4925 | |
Comb Your Hair by LoveStruck | The low quality recording features a rock song that contains filtered female vocal singing over loud and harsh electric guitar chords, energetic drums and buzzy bass guitar. It sounds chaotic due to the bad mix and since the drums are panned in an unconventional way - making the stereo image unbalanced. It sounds harsh, but also energetic. | 2010-03-19T19:57:05Z | stuspasm | LoveStruck is: Lady Anne, Vocals/ Guitar. Stu Spasm, Bass. Bloody Rich Hutchins, Drums. The band is based in Brooklyn, NYC.
