The Theremini is a re-imagining of one of the oldest electronic musical instruments in history, and Bob Moog's first love -- the Theremin. The Theremini combines a powerful sound engine derived from Moog's award winning synthesizer, Animoog, with the traditional no-touch playing of a traditional Theremin. Assistive pitch quantization allows each player to adjust the instrument's level of playing difficulty. At the maximum position, the Theremini will play every note in a selected scale perfectly, making it impossible to play a wrong note. As this control is decreased, more expressive control of pitch and vibrato becomes possible. When set to minimum, the Theremini will perform as a traditional Theremin - the analog heterodyning oscillator controls pitch and there is absolutely no assistance. | {"default": {"url": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1cqcTbDxsHM/default.jpg", "width": 120, "height": 90}, "medium": {"url": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1cqcTbDxsHM/mqdefault.jpg", "width": 320, "height": 180}, "high": {"url": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1cqcTbDxsHM/hqdefault.jpg", "width": 480, "height": 360}, "standard": {"url": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1cqcTbDxsHM/sddefault.jpg", "width": 640, "height": 480}, "maxres": {"url": "https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1cqcTbDxsHM/maxresdefault.jpg", "width": 1280, "height": 720}} | Moog Music Inc | ["Theremin (Musical Instrument)", "Theremini", "Dorit Chrysler", "Moog", "Moog Synthesizer (Invention)", "Moog Music (Organization)", "New York Theremin Society", "Léon Theremin (Inventor)", "experimental", "electronic", "education"] | 10 | none | {"title": "Theremini | Dorit Chrysler", "description": "More info on Theremini here: http://bit.ly/ThereminiMoogMusicInc\n\nIn this Video, Dorit Chrysler, co-founder of the New York Theremin Society, explores the sonic possibilities of the Theremini, Moog's latest addition to the theremin family.\n\nThe Theremini is a re-imagining of one of the oldest electronic musical instruments in history, and Bob Moog's first love -- the Theremin.
