The Tea Party - Lullaby Live In Montreal - July 7, 2011 | This amateur recording features a rock song. A repetitive phrase is played on the guitar. The first bar consists of only the guitar sound. The bass and percussion start playing after one bar. The bass plays one note in groups of twos. The percussion plays a groovy rock beat. The hi-hat is played in a group of four strokes on the closed hi-hat followed by one stroke on the open hi-hat. There are no voices in this song. The mood of this song is melancholic. | 2011-07-10T12:36:07Z | Luc Beaulieu | Live at Le Métropolis, Montreal, Québec, Canada | ["Drum kit", "Guitar", "Music", "Musical instrument", "Rock music", "Pulse"] | ["amateur recording", "rock", "guitar", "repetitive phrase", "percussion", "bass", "no voice", "no other instruments", "slow tempo", "melancholic mood"] | 0 | GcYeBWujhjw | 1741
Protest The Hero - Sequoia Throne [2] | Someone is strumming chords on a distorted e-guitar while someone is playing a fast solo up the fretboard with another e-guitar. This song may be playing practicing solos at home. | 2010-01-14T03:52:09Z | kamikaz1k | Tim's Axe - Caparison Dellinger Luke's Axe - Ibanez S5470 | ["Tapping (guitar technique)", "Guitar", "Music", "Musical instrument", "Plucked string instrument"] | ["amateur recording", "rock", "e-guitars", "slow tempo"] | 6 | L1fxVVl_1bM | 2143
BEYOND THE REEF 02 - FENDER 400 | Someone is playing a melody on a slide guitar over a backing track containing an uptight bass, acoustic guitar and mild acoustic drum groove. This song may be playing outside on a sunny day practicing guitar. | 2011-11-09T13:23:22Z | DaveB11th | I learned this song from Basil Henriques, using his A7th setup... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ceno6hM1IA&feature=related I have used his pedal setup for a long time, but never knew how to use the 3rd pedal that raises strings 1 and 2 a whole tone until recently. This is a really pretty song to learn. I have more information about this tuning and pedal setup on my website at steelc6th.com. I also tabbed out this song for anyone who wants to learn the A7th tuning. I slowed down Basil's rhythm track using a program called "MixCraft" so I could play along easier. A link to the original track is on my web. I like hats and try different one's here and there. I call this my Bill Lawrence hat. I have a BL 710 pickup in my S-10 ShoBud with the white fretboard. Bill's a genius guitar pickup inventor. Here's a video of him played in 2008 at a NAMM show... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHIZMuNhF5s On this particular Fender 400 guitar (which is as old as I am), I have 10 pedals. I actually have Basil's 3rd, 4th and 5th pedals down on 8, 9 and 10 for leg comfort. So I can use either pedals 4 and 5 or 8 and 9 to lower strings 2 and 6, respectively. That makes it a lot easier for me while playing. Pedals 1 and 2 are unchanged. I also used pedal 6 to raise string 1 by itself a whole tone, which I use in the song in a few places. Also, I only lower strings 2 and 4 a half tone, respectively, with pedals 8 and 9 because the pedals are way too tight when pressed together; so I don't lower strings 6 and 8 with pedals 8,9; but I DO lower strings 2 and 6 with pedal 4 (my C6th pedal), and strings 4 and 8 with pedal 5 (My A6th pedal) as Basil does. When I need to press both pedals, that is 4 and 5 together, I press 8 and 9. The pedal is still a bit tight, but not as bad as pressing pedals 4 and 5 (which lowered 4 and 8 also. On my ShoBud, I can lower multiple strings like butter, and it's not a concern; but the pedals are close together and that is more uncomfortable. So each guitar has its pros and cons. Fender Deluxe Reverb '65 Reissue Cranked up a bit! | This amateur recording features an overdriven guitar playing the main melody. This is a low quality recording and the volumes of the instruments are not professionally mixed. The overdriven guitar is loud. A piano plays a couple of notes in the beginning. The guitar is accompanied by percussion playing a simple beat in the background. The bass plays a blues style bassline. The tempo of this song is slow. The song is based on blues style. | 2012-08-01T12:50:32Z | Sam Rhodes | Just using my Gibson 339 into a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue turned up to 7 with a Dr Z Brake Lite on 4. | ["Reverberation", "Tapping (guitar technique)", "Effects unit", "Electric guitar", "Guitar", "Music", "Musical instrument", "Plucked string instrument"] | ["amateur recording", "blues melody", "overdriven guitar", "vibrato", "blues bassline", "simple percussion", "slow tempo", "no voice", "instrumental", "piano notes"] | 0 | Qe71m678qEU | 2632 |
