Towards the end of the video he explains why the frets on his guitar are crooked, a question a lot of people are wondering. Basically, the fanned frets on his new Greenfield guitar are both comfortable ergonomically and provide more accurate intonation. \r\n\r\nAnd although he doesn't mention it in this video, fan frets handle dropped tunings much better than regular frets do (and since Andy plays in so many different alternate tunings, fanned frets must be a dream come true). Thicker strings are naturally designed for a wider scale length - I would say all guitars should be built this way, and for a lot of handmade instruments with more than 6 strings, they are mandatory.\r\n\r\nYou can see him play Shanghai in the next video, linked below:\r\nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuUeAwnTYzA&fmt=18", "musiccaps_names": "[\"Tapping (guitar technique)\", \"Guitar\", \"Music\", \"Musical instrument\", \"Plucked string instrument\"]", "musiccaps_aspects": "[\"guitarist talks\", \"tuning notes\", \"tuning pegs\", \"guitar master class\", \"guitar solo\", \"live concert\", \"live audience\", \"soloist\", \"random notes\", \"laughing\", \"bad audio quality\", \"engaging crowds\", \"performer\", \"famous guitarist\", \"tuning legs\", \"fretboard sounds\", \"no fixed tempo\", \"bad audio quality\", \"ambient crowd noises\"]", "musiccaps_author": "1", "youtube_id": "cQX-WgT0ACQ", "musiccaps_rowid": 3705} {"video": "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHC25Ia8Dxo&start=80&end=90", "youtube_link": "{\"label\":\"Los Mejores Gritos de Axl Rose/Best Cries Of Axl Rose [El Mejor Grito De La Historia]\",\"href\":\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHC25Ia8Dxo&start=80&end=90\"}", "musiccaps_caption": "A male rock singer sings this climatic solo with a long sustained note.
