There is an over-arching bossa nova syncopation not only being played by the acoustic drums in the backing track but also followed by the electric rhythm guitar and the bass guitar. The lead is a guitar solo being played by a gentle sounding electric guitar. Although there are complex chords and riffs, the general atmosphere is tranquil. This piece could be playing in the background of a restaurant. It could also be included in the soundtrack of a movie during serene scenery.",2013-03-11T13:08:58Z,Achim Kohl,"played with my Gibson ES 137 Custom, If you want to play a transcription of this solo, go to https://www.klangfarbe-noten-shop.de/en/blue-bossa-solo.html","[""Guitar"", ""Jazz"", ""Acoustic guitar"", ""Music"", ""Musical instrument"", ""Strum"", ""Plucked string instrument""]","[""jam"", ""jazz"", ""bossa nova"", ""no singer"", ""instrumental"", ""electric guitar"", ""guitar solo"", ""bass guitar"", ""acoustic drums"", ""soft"", ""sensual"", ""tranquil""]",9,AgtY6m-b3Gk,1155 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVsAyArtEh0&start=30&end=40,"{""label"":""Pat Metheny - THIRD WIND guitar solo"",""href"":""https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVsAyArtEh0&start=30&end=40""}",The music features an electric guitar playing what sounds to be a solo over a backing track or an actual recording of a song. The notes played in this passage are played fast. The vocabulary used by the guitarist resembles that of the jazz-fusion genre.,2013-12-27T00:02:47Z,Pietro Ballestrero,"Please visit my PATREON page: https://www.patreon.com/Pietrosguitarphilosophy Join and enjoy dozens of ads-free VIDEO LESSONS, and INTERACTIVE BACKING TRACKS! Special thanks to PAT! http://www.pietroballestrero.com/lezioni/ Riprese di legovideo: http://www.legovideo.com/ Transcription of Pat Metheny's solo, played together with a slower version of the original recording from the record Still life talking. To be honest, I have always been wondering what was the point in videos like this, where someone films himself while playing a transcription. But when I learnt theese solos I realized how great their learning potential is: they can show a whole world about the language of imrpovised music and about guitar technique: phrasing, timing, accents, use of legato, fingerings... So, as a jazz guitar teacher, I wished to share this great learning experience with anybody who would try to transcribe this material himself, by showing from a close up recording the left hand movements.
