Just because I really couldn’t see why Vox would have to make any changes to their regular amPlug series. In other words, I thought that the amPlug 2 was just a marketing thing to push profits without actually adding real value to the consumers. But admittedly, I was wrong, the Vox amPlug 2 devices have a lot to offer, which we are about to discuss in a little bit. Thank you for watching my “Vox amPlug 2 Review – Vox amPlug 2 Classic Rock Demo” video. I was really curious to test my first amPlug 2. Thus far I had tried the AC30 version of the predecessor generation and the amPlug Metal. As you know, the amPlugs by Vox are great if you want to practice guitar over your headphones while still getting the feel of having your guitar connected to a real amp. So, while all my folks are watching some nonsense on TV, I can still be with them and fiddle around without annoying the hell out of them. All the device needs is a set of two AAA batteries which come with the purchase. The battery life of the amPlugs is really good to begin with, but with the new feature – which we will cover in a bit – it’s now even better. With this new generation of mini headphone guitar amplifiers, Vox introduced a number or significant improvements regarding the features and functionality. First of all, the Vox amPlug 2 CR – as well as all other models of the second generation – comes with a jack that swivels. This allows to easily adjust the position of the device. As demonstrated in the video, with the previous version there was a limited range of mobility. This is now completely resolved. The Vox amPlug 2 CR mini headphone amp comes with an “Auto Power-Off”. So, after 30 minutes of inactivity the device powers off automatically. This is great, because now the batteries last even longer, even in the event that you forget to turn the amplug off. Another cool feature of the Vox amPlug 2 Classic Rock, AC30 and Metal models is the FX button. By pressing the FX-button, you can chose between Chorus, Delay and Reverb. The power-on button serves a dual purpose. Of course, this is where you turn the Vox amPlug 2 Classic Rock headphone amp on and off – however, via this button you can also add a mi-level and high-level boost for some extra punch and heaviness. The rest is pretty much the same. Of course, there is the three dials for Volume, Tone and Gain. You also have an AUX input jack to connect an iPhone or an MP3 player. Other than that, the built and design is strongly aligned to the predecessor models. The device is light, but the plastic hard-case forgives falls and other little accidents. Here are a few other questions I get all the time. Does the Vox amPlug 2 Classic Rock fit on a Strat? Yes, no problems, because the jack can be swiveled into any position of your choice. Can the Vox amPlug 2 CR connect to a guitar pedal or an amp? Sure, not an issue. It works very well, even though I typically don’t do that a lot. I usually use all my amPlugs just for guitar practicing.","[""Guitar"", ""Music"", ""Musical instrument"", ""Electronic tuner"", ""Plucked string instrument"", ""Inside, small room""]","[""jam"", ""no singer"", ""instrumental"", ""single instrument"", ""electric guitar"", ""guitar solo"", ""amp plug"", ""easygoing"", ""simple tunes""]",9,H6Y_7Ax34-g,1774 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn46VuvS88Y&start=30&end=40,"{""label"":""How To Tune A Guitar Electric or Acoustic Online Video Play Along Mp3"",""href"":""https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn46VuvS88Y&start=30&end=40""}",This music is instrumental. First pioneered within historic amplifiers of the 1960s, this harmonious coexistence has made it's way onto countless records and performances—from early surf, swampy bayou blues, spaghetti westerns, film noir soundtracks, to modern day indie rock. There are certain things in life that just belong together—the blend of tremolo and reverb create the perfect pair. Given this storied history, there was no doubt that we wanted to develop a studio-class effects pedal that delivers this classic combination. We carefully studied our favorite classic tremolo and reverb circuits, examined the sonic complexities, and faithfully accounted for every detail in our hand-crafted algorithms. Flint harnesses the complete power of a SHARC DSP to authentically exhibit these details. Flint gives you the soothing, pulsating, and hypnotic effects that were pioneered in vintage amplifier tremolo circuits, along with three classic and completely unique reverb algorithms. You get the sonically complex '61 Harmonic Tremolo, the swampy and sultry '63 Power Tube Tremolo, and the sharp and balanced '65 Photocell Tremolo. You also get the classic '60s Spring Tank Reverb, the inventive '70s Electronic Plate Reverb, and the nostalgic '80s Hall Rack Reverb. With eight parameters to tweak, you get extensive control over the tremolo and reverb characteristics. Go from splashy, pulsing twang, to throbbing, swampy blues, all the way to ambient, trembling, and serene reverberated pads. Couple that with true bypass, and a high quality analog front end and output section, and you have yourself the history of tremolo and reverb in a pedal-board friendly format. Strymon Flint Tremelo/Reverb Features: Three hand crafted tremolo algorithms faithfully deliver classic tremolo experiences: '61 Harmonic Tremolo, '63 Power Tube Tremolo, '65 Photocell Tremolo Three distinct reverb algorithms: '60s Spring Tank Reverb, '70s Electronic Reverb, '80s Hall Rack Reverb Two tremolo adjustment and tone shaping knobs: Intensity, Speed Three reverb adjustment and tone shaping knobs: Decay, Color, Mix Four ""hidden"" knobs for extensive tone tweaking: Tremolo Boost/Cut, Reverb Boost/Cut, Effect Order, Tap Subdivision","[""Reverberation"", ""Effects unit"", ""Guitar"", ""Music"", ""Musical instrument"", ""Electronic tuner"", ""Plucked string instrument"", ""Distortion""]","[""electric guitar"", ""effects pedal"", ""no voices"", ""instrumental"", ""guitar lick"", ""no other instruments""]",0,pL71P2hVjMc,4702
