Etwa auf Höhe des Rathausdaches befindet sich das größte Glockenspiel Deutschlands. Im Spielwerkserker werden zwei Ereignisse aus der Münchner Stadtgeschichte dargestellt: Hauptthema ist die im Februar 1568 gefeierte Hochzeit von Herzog Wilhelm V. mit Renate von Lothringen, anlässlich der ein Ritterturnier auf dem Marienplatz stattfand. Beim Wettkampf triumphierte der bayerische Ritter über seinen lothringischen Gegner. Neben dem Fürstenpaar und seinem Hofmarschall gehören insgesamt 16 Figuren zu dieser Szene. In der unteren Etage tanzen die Schäffler; die Fassmacher sollen sich nach einer schweren Pestepidemie als Erste wieder auf die Straßen gewagt und mit ihrem Tanz die Bevölkerung erheitert haben. В 1928 национализировано большинство церковных зданий, где размещались церковно-приходская школа, богадельня. Изъяты ценности. Закрыт в 1930-х. В 1979—90 в нем находилось одно из объединений киностудии «Союзмультфильм». Внутреннее убранство утрачено. В 1979 произведен внешний ремонт.

 В 1990 передан РПЦ.

For this monument with its advanced technology, constantly illuminated with LED lights, Koert Vermeulen & ACTLD created in total 1260 shows to produce the genuine dynamic effects through a play of light, video, water, fireworks, as well as bubbles and sounds. The Tree of Life change as the hours go by, becoming the center for many of the events in the Pavilion's extensive schedule.

September 22, 2013, ~0950am.  In the beginning of the video one can hear the change ringing on 12 bells in the South tower of York Minster.  At the end, when the change ringing has come back to rounds, Great Peter joins.  For the occasion of the visit of the Utrechtse Klokkenspel Vereniging, the bell is rung by Erik Loggen.

The recording is in mono, because the other channel saturated too much.  Although the sound recorder was not in the bell chamber, but in the adjacent stair case, slightly behind the central pillar, the recording saturated.  Fortunately one of the channels is still acceptable.

I had to turn the camera to get the bell more or less completely in the field of view.  There was also a second reason for doing this.  This may become clear later...
