I'm very proud to present ""Sun"", by Qelric!  Early last week, she came to me wanting to Collaborate on a song she had written, complete with a demo that she had done on her recording set up.  She asked me to interpret her song, recording it to my computer and this is the result.  I personally think it's awesome!

Most, if not all, the writing credit goes to Qelric.  The notes are hers, so I had it easy this time and just recorded the track how I felt it would sound best.  This song from Qelric actually inspired me to restring my acoustic guitar, which has been sitting in the corner defunct for months now.  But now it works and sounds fantastic!

So Qelric had some reservations about putting less reverb on her voice because she feels that it sounds better.  But I think you'll agree that it sounds really good with just a touch of reverb for the mix and her voice sounds great cutting through!

I soon discovered that with the PDX it was possible rotate the tone arm a full 360 degrees so i started experimenting with using 2 tone arms on the platter of one turntable. This mainly interested me because it enabled be to control 2 sets of sounds via one turntable platter.

In 2003 i was fortunate enough to get involved in the development of the Controller One turntable.
This revolutionised what was possible in terms of musically accurate pitch manipulation. However one thing that somewhat frustrated me was the fact that the turntable was still essentially a monophonic instrument, controlling 1 sound or voice at a time.

I recently figured out a way utilising Serato DJ and the Rane Sixty Four mixer to controller up to 4 independent sound sources or voices using one turntable allowing me to play and manipulate true chords and create independent melodies from 1 turntable platter (unlike the soon to be released STEMS format.) I've since been informed that this is similar to Traktors 'remix decks'. Not being a traktor user i was unaware however this Serato hack is massively exciting for me and opens up whole new creative door. I'm still learning and discovering the new skill set required for 'polyphonic scratching', needless to say this video is just a starting point.
