Mayday, mayday… This is Cluck Yegger, free ranger. My craft, Eggcelsior was grounded by my old nemesis Colonel Zanderz. I don’t like that guy. The ship’s on limited auxiliary solar power that can recharge during the daytime. By computer estimates, it’ll take seven sols to make ship repairs. But at night, I’ll have to survive some unwelcomed company in the form of Zanderz’s genetically-modified poultriod. Fun times.  
Confined to this cockpit, I’ll use the ship’s cameras, lights, and doors to keep the peckish poultriod at bay. But everything drains power, so I’ve gotta conserve energy as much as possible.
