Mi madre tenía un solo ojo... yo la odiaba... porque me causaba mucha vergüenza.

Ella trabajaba de cocinera en la escuela donde estudiaba, para mantener a la familia.

Un día yo estaba en secundaria, ella vino para ver cómo transcurrían mis estudios.

Sentí mucha vergüenza. ¿Cómo podía hacerme esto?

No sentí remordimiento alguno, porque estaba muy enfadado. No me importaron sus sentimientos. Quise irme de ese lugar.

Estudié bien, me dieron la beca  y me fui a Singapur.

Así fue. Me fui, estudié, me casé, me compré una casa.

¡Tuve hijos y viví muy contento junto a mi familia!

En un día, vino mi madre a visitarme. Ya que transcurrieron muchos años sin que nos viésemos y nunca antes había visto ¡a sus nietos!

Se puso enfrente de la puerta, y comenzaron a reírse mis hijos al verla.

Pasó el tiempo, y recibí una carta de la escuela, era una invitación para una reunión de familias.

Le mentí a mi esposa informándole que iba de viaje a causa del trabajo.

Al cabo de la reunión, me fui a la casa que vivíamos antes. (Sólo por curiosidad).

Me informaron los vecinos de que mi madre...  ¡¡murió!!
